Project Summary
Casey Middle School was the first LEED for Schools Platinum certified school in the state of Colorado. With funding from the Town of Boulder, the school was designed to enhance environmental performance and to make the school facilities a shared resource for the community.

YR&G Role
YR&G facilitated design integration meetings with the project team and the community, and provided design assistance and technical support for the sustainability process from concept through operations. In addition, YR&G performed cost benefit analysis on various energy efficiency strategies, and reviewed plans and specifications to ensure the inclusion of sustainability performance criteria. YR&G also coordinated the LEED for Schools certification for the project.
