YR&G Role

YR&G provided climate analysis, building performance modeling, and LEED support services to optimize the building envelope, mechanical systems, and overall LEED approach. Early SD phase orientation and shading studies supported the design of the building envelope. The LEED strategy was developed with the design and development team to support cost effective strategies that met the project goal of achieving LEED Gold while supporting building tenants who chose to pursue LEED for Commercial Interiors.

Highlights

  • Consulted on 4,000 SF green roof design to capture and manage stormwater on-site
  • Performed energy modeling to optimize building façade to manage and reduce peak cooling loads through solar shading and optimized high-performance glazing
  • Developed comprehensive LEED strategy to ensure healthy, low-toxic indoor environments
